Finder Sets is a small shareware utility for System 7 users whose work on the Mac is such that they find themselves opening the same set of folders and documents over and over again.
It works very simply. First, create a Finder Sets file by selecting New… from the File menu, and add items from the finder to it. Once the file is saved, it contains an alias for each of the items you added. Now,whenever you double click on it, Finder Sets will start up and send an open Apple Event to the Finder to open that item. Folders will open, applications will launch and documents will open, just as they would if you had double clicked on them one at a time. So if you regularly work on a project that requires you to have three folders and two documents open, you can put all five items in a Finder Sets file (referred to as a Finder Set), and whenever you want to set up for that project, just double click on that file.
To edit a Finder Set™, you can either open it using the open command in the File menu, or double click on it in the Finder with the command key down.
Finder Sets is pretty straight forward, but I still put in Balloon Help.
Version 1.0.1 fixes the GetFile bug that puts an alias in a finder set instead of its target.
